Date: September 25, 2025 Time: 2:00 p.m. Location: Green River Library Speaker: Alan Cameron North Carolina has over 72 species of salamanders which is more than any other place on earth! This presentation will discuss some of the species found in this area but will emphasize the Green Salamander which is the only salamander in North Carolina that is listed by the state as Endangered. Alan Cameron has been a volunteer with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission for the last 18 years where he has worked on numerous species in local forests but mostly on Green Salamanders. *Space is limited and pre-registration is required by visiting the Green River Library’s calendar of events at this link.
